Welcome to California Yoga Center

California Yoga Center has been offering yoga for all ages and abilities since 1980. Our approach develops self-awareness through precision in movement and attention to subtle aspects of posture and breath. CYC teachers modify postures to encourage students to develop a deeper awareness and steadiness in the classic postures.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff is comprised of certified Iyengar instructors and others who have studied extensively with certified Iyengar teachers.

As of June 27, our Palo Alto studio is closed. California Yoga Center in Mountain View continues to have a full program of classes and workshops.

Many of our Palo Alto teachers have moved their classes to BE Yoga located at 440 Kipling Street. As a courtesy to our students and teachers, we will post the daily classes for both locations the next few months.

California Yoga Center in Mountain View is a fully-equipped yoga studio, including rope wall. Ropes help students to deepen their yoga poses, and ropes can have therapeutic value for students with back care and other challenges.

CYC class packages now have a one-year expiration date. You can still share the package with spouses, friends and family. Ask about sharing when you buy. Using our new online scheduling system, students can purchase class packages and register for all workshops.

Accessing the Pelvic Floor with Cator Shachoy

Learn how to access the pelvic floor for core strength to make you stronger, more flexible and supple as well as less prone to injury.

Restorative Yoga with Lisa Robinson
Refresh your mind, body and spirit with this Restorative Yoga workshop

Experience the Ropes with Birgit Reimer
This workshop is designed to help you get comfortable using wall ropes. Learn basic skills with easy standing, seated, twisting poses and gentle back bends.
