Take Care of Your Immune System With Inversions: 4 - week series - Hybrid

  • In Person & Online Series at California Yoga Center 1776 Miramonte Avenue Mountain View, CA, 94040 United States (map)

B.K.S. Iyengar was born in 1918, at the height of the global influenza pandemic. A sickly child, he turned to yoga early in life, transforming frailty into strength and eventually sharing practices that continue to support health and vitality. Decades later, Guruji created a sequence of asanas specifically designed to strengthen the immune system. This series brings that sequence to life, offering tools for resilience, balance, and renewed energy.

Each week, we will explore a portion of Guruji’s original immune-boosting sequence. Step by step, you will see how inversions, supported poses, and restorative asanas work together to nurture health and vitality.

You will learn & explore:

  • How to practice inversions that stimulate circulation and support the immune system

  • Restorative variations that help manage fatigue, stress, and exhaustion

  • Ways the state of mind and breath directly influence physical health

  • Modifications for Sirsasana and Viparita Dandasana, with accessible options such as Sarvangasana and Viparita Karani

This series is best suited for students with prior experience in Sarvangasana and Setu Bandha. Modifications will be offered for those developing proficiency in inversions and backbends.

Join Miri as she guides you through Iyengar’s timeless sequence for building resilience from the inside out. Reserve your spot today and give your body the gift of strength and renewal.

Series runs Wednesdays, 5:45 to 7 pm PT (Oct 8, 15, 22, 29) Cost $105

Sessions will be recorded and available to all registrants after the class for 2 weeks.
