Asthma can show up in many ways, chest tightness, bouts of coughing, wheezing, and even episodes of difficult breathing. This workshop is designed for students with at least six months of yoga experience and for teachers who want to learn practical, yoga-based tools to manage asthma both daily and during flare-ups.
You’ll discover how to calm the nervous system, open the rib cage, and release the small muscles between the ribs. Learn the difference between shallow and deep breathing, how to exhale fully to clear carbon dioxide, and create space for more oxygen. Our goal is to help you clear the airways and make breathing smoother, leading to deeper, more complete inhalations.
We’ll practice poses to ease breathing during an asthma attack, along with asanas you can integrate regularly to help reduce the frequency of attacks.
