Spend time unwinding chronic tension and discomfort in the neck, shoulders, and upper back through a therapeutic yoga practice. Whether your pain comes from long hours at a desk, stress, injury, or habitual patterns, this workshop offers practical tools to help you move with greater ease and freedom. Discover how your hands, arms, shoulders, neck and upper back all work together and affect each other.
June 6th, 1:00-3:30pm
Led by Naomi, this session combines precise alignment, intelligent sequencing, and the supportive use of props to safely address common sources of pain and restriction. The approach is clear, methodical, and accessible to all levels.
We will begin with a brief overview of the anatomy of the neck, shoulders, and arms and explore how they move. Then learn yoga poses that open the chest, upper back, and neck to create more freedom and ease in your body.
In this workshop, you will:
Start releasing deep-seated tension in the neck, shoulders, and upper back
Understand the role of posture and alignment in both creating and relieving pain
Explore simple, effective movements to improve mobility of the shoulder girdle
Develop awareness of habitual patterns that contribute to discomfort
Practice supported poses that calm the nervous system and reduce stress-related holding
Benefits may include:
Reduced pain and stiffness
Improved posture and spinal alignment
Greater range of motion and ease of movement
Relief from stress and muscular tension
Increased body awareness
You’ll leave with a clear, practical set of tools and sequences you can continue at home, empowering you to take an active role in your own healing and well-being.
