Yoga for Healthy Aging: Maximize your Potential with Asanas for Osteopenia and Osteoporosis

  • In Person & Online at California Yoga Center 1776 Miramonte Avenue Mountain View, CA, 94040 United States (map)

Strength, stability, and vitality are possible at every stage of life. All of the body systems are adaptable and respond to use and stress placed upon them. In this immersive 2.5 hour workshop, we’ll explore how yoga asana can strengthen and stabilize your body to manage the risks inherent to osteopenia and osteoporosis. With a blend of education, guided practice, and practical tools, you’ll learn how to support your bone health, move with more confidence, and cultivate long-term well-being.

Saturday July 25th, 1.00 - 3.30 PM PDT

You will learn:

  • Ways to practice that support building a strong, resilient body

  • Weight-bearing and resistance actions to support optimal stimulation to the bones

  • To identify and prioritize yoga poses that improve balance and coordination

  • Asanas from each category of poses to create a well-rounded practice

In this supportive and informative workshop, Lori and Patti will share their years of personal experience of both yoga and osteoporosis. By using intention, right action, and a deeper understanding of how the body changes over time you will learn to develop an approach to daily movement that builds trust in your body. You will leave feeling more optimistic about living a strong, healthy, vibrant life.

This workshop is for those:
