Course Description
The first part of class is gentle stretches and supported poses intended to move the body into ease and softness. This other part of class will be Yoga Nidra, a guided meditative practice that invites deep rest and inner awareness.
As the body relaxes and the nervous system settles, stress begins to dissolve, creating space for clarity, balance, and a deeper connection to breath and mind.

How will this help / What will I learn?
Participants will:
Learn how to use supported poses to release tension in the body

Develop awareness of breath and its role in relaxation
Experience Yoga Nidra as a tool for deep rest and renewal

This practice allows you to unwind and reconnect to a sense of calm and well-being. You are invited to slow down, release effort, and experience the quiet depth of restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra.

Bio: Birgit Reimer, a certified Iyengar yoga teacher (CIYT) at the Intermediate Junior I level, and has been teaching since 2002. Her primary teachers are Prashant Iyengar, Ben Thomas and Elise Browning Miller. She has been to Pune numerous times to study with the Iyengar family. Birgit is has also completed Elise Miller’s Yoga for Scoliosis Teacher Training. She encourages all students of yoga to practice with awareness of the breath, an open mind and a compassionate heart on and off the mat.
