Course Description

Samyama refers to a profound integration. The practitioner becomes one with the object of focus, allowing for deep, intuitive insights and heightened consciousness.

This series offers a practical pathway toward that integration of the body, breath, and awareness.

We  begin with slow and gentle asana to unwind from daily activity. Through aligned movement and breath awareness, the body opens and the mind begins to settle. This  prepares you for a smooth transition into Yoga Nidra. This series is for:

  • Students looking to slow down and release mental and physical tension

  • Those interested in meditation, breath awareness, or Yoga Nidra

  • Practitioners seeking a more inward, restorative experience

  • Anyone curious about integrating movement with deep rest

All levels are welcome. No prior experience is needed.

Participants will be guided through the stages of Yoga Nidra:

  • Settling the body and creating physical ease

  • Developing awareness of the breath

  • Setting a sankalpa (a quiet, personal intention)

  • Moving attention through the body to build awareness

  • Exploring sensation, imagery, and inner observation

  • Returning to the intention with greater clarity

You will learn how to move from effort into ease by supporting your parasympathetic nervous system and cultivating a deeper self-awareness. The result may be a quieter, more integrated state of being.

Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down in Savasana, using props for comfort and support.

Recommended props:

  • 2 blocks

  • 1 Straps

  • 2 blankets

  • Bolster or pillow
